The material, print quality and overall design of the swatch affects the value customers attribute to your products and your brand. The sense of touch helps customers to better understand and choose from fabrics. This is especially important for textured fabrics.
The way the fabric is knitted or woven, the type of yarn and the finishing processes directly affect its texture and feel. For example, a cotton fabric feels soft and natural, while a silk fabric feels smooth and luxurious.
The material used for the card itself is also important. Good quality cardboard or a special coating improves the overall feel and durability of the card.
The print quality, the vibrancy of the colours and the texture of the print also affect the feel. Matte or glossy finishes can change the look and feel of the card.
The size of the fabric samples and how they are placed on the swatch card are also important. Sufficiently large samples allow customers to get a better feel for the fabric. Different folding or cutting techniques can make the presentation of the samples more attractive.
